A note on the provenance of Bibliotheque Nationale de France, Rés D.862, a collection of Colard mansion prints

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This article reconsiders the Sammelband BnF Rés D.862, suggesting new evidence for its assemblage, in terms of date and motivation. It examines the passage of the book's constituent early printed texts through the hands of JBB van Praet, head of early printed books at the BnF when the works were acquired, and suggests that it is likely van Praet assembled the Sammelband as we have it now.
