Abstract

I hope this journey to certain Latin American textures inspires you to nourish your artist within and helps you heal from the demands and pressures of academia. This chapter offers, here and there, a micro transformational oasis of restful inspiration. I will be reflecting on my experience of becoming an author of good enough poems (Lahman and Richard, 2014). I will draw on my research on migration to unveil the backstage of my work and let the reader become familiar with the orienting power of poetry and its potential to unlock our creative confidence.
