Abstract

The work provides a detailed and authoritative analysis of the law relating to the circumstances when a contract may be avoided on the ground that the complainant entered into it under illegitimate pressure (duress) or undue influence or because there was an abuse of confidence by the other party or that the agreement was an unconscionable transaction.

Earlier editions of this work have been cited with approval by appellate courts in the United Kingdom and other jurisdictions around the world, including Canada, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Trinidad and Tobago.
