Abstract
As part of the centenary celebrations of the Bulletin of Spanish Studies (1923-2023), a symposium entitled Moving Geographies: 100 Yearsof 'Spanish' Visual Studies was held at and hosted online by Queen's University Belfast on 11 May 2023. it focused on recent developments in research on visual culture, including innovations in digital humanities, the rise of the video essay, and growing recognition of the vitality of indigenous and regional cultures. This conversation - The Evolution of the Scholarly Video Essay - between Professor Catherine Grant and Professor Rob Stone formed part of the centenary celebrations and symposium.
