Biography

Dr Mohamad Zalzale is a Lecturer at the School of Engineering.

Mohamad is an interdisciplinary scientist. He holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland and an MSc in Computational Physics from the Montpellier University in France.

Mohamad teaches a variety of courses in the Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science programs and his research revolves around the use of computational physics to solve engineering problems.

Prior to joining the University of Birmingham in Dubai, Mohamad worked as a research scientist and project manager in the Oil and Gas industry in Norway and Kuwait, and as a Materials Engineering research and teaching assistant at EPFL in Switzerland.
