Biography
I am a Lecturer in Applied Linguistics at the University of Birmingham. I completed my PhD in Applied Linguistics at Birmingham in 2012 and have previously taught and researched in the areas of English Language, Applied Linguistics and TESOL at the University of Birmingham and at Aston University.
Research interests
My main research interests are in corpus linguistics, English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and discourse analysis. I am particularly interested in exploring the ways in which the methods of corpus linguistics can be used to extend our understanding of EAP, scientific discourse and the linguistics of epistemology.
